Muhammad Abdul Khalique - CEO
Fondly known as 'Ronnie' to his friends, he is the third son and one of seven children of the late Haji Mosobbir Ali. Born and spending his formative years in the Sylhet area of Bangladesh, Abdul came to the U.K. with his parents and siblings over thirty years ago. Abdul first studied in Hertfordshire and then concluded his studies in Southampton where he gained his qualification in business and computer technology. After completing his studies, he joined his family run business. Later, under his father's wise guidance he maintained close ties with his roots as he built up several successful businesses. He married and bought a family house in the U.K, near Doncaster, and is a proud father to three wonderful children who are now all making their own way in the world.
As his fortunes grew, he learned much about the demography of Bangladesh and the desperate needs of its inhabitants in some very deprived areas. This provided the inspiration for him, initially with family and friends, to begin providing much needed assistance to people in severe need. This work has grown and accumulated in the birth of the Mosobbir Ali Foundation, named in honour of his father and shortly to become a fully registered U.K. based charity. Abdul now owns a prestigious restaurant near his home and has many other business interests.
Andrew James West - Vice Chairman
Andy was born in Doncaster and spent much of his early life there, although he has had a long history and deep love of rural France where he now spends as much time as possible. His parents were a policeman and a bank clerk from humble backgrounds and after briefly studying electrical engineering in Nottingham, Andy followed his father and joined the South Yorkshire police force. He soon became a detective and had a long and successful career in serious and major crime investigation, later transferring to Lincolnshire Police where he became operational Head of CID for its East Division.
Andy had two secondments to a Home Office funded programme in London to link the intelligence capabilities to the U.K.'s police forces before finally finishing his service in 2011 as Detective Chief Inspector. Now living in Doncaster, he was for five years a local town councillor, has worked in the aviation security industry and owns a commercial insurance business. With two adult children and three grandchildren, he hopes soon be able to retire to France.
